Well, I didn't make it back out yesterday to work on the property, sorry. But I did pick up the tractor and box blade to maintain the trails and track. Gotta save a few more bucks to get the brushhog, but we won't need it just yet. It's an oldie but a goodie. 1949 Ferguson. Spittin' image of an 8n Ford but with some hard to see differences.... I hope to be out Saturday morning the 16th around 8am w/ it and the saws to finish tree clearing and fixing the entrance road from K road as well as the 110 entrance. My friend is bring out another tractor w/ a post hole digger to set the gate posts for me and hopefully aide w/ downed tree removal.
Also may have the loader there. I will call him later this week to confirm that.

What's nice about those "oldies" are they are a bit easier to work on then the new models. Now finding parts for them are a bit harder, but if you keep those parts in good working order then there's no issue!! Is there anyway you can get that big tree out of the creek in between the two crossings? I was thinking if you could get that moved out I could clear the rest of the trees in the creek to make that an obstacle/mud mog course! I'll see what the weather is going to do this Thu/Fri. Not sure if I'll make it out this week. Just filled up the pickup for $95.50. Yeah, getting a little ridiculous with gas now. I don't know how much more of this gas price raising I can take.

Well if the F***ing tree huggers would put away their "we need to save the forest" crap we could drill in Montana and be set with gas prices at $2.00 for decades upon decades. They say in Montana and South Dakota (I think) there is more oil there than in the Middle East! Seriously, wtf are we waiting on. Mark, lets get your equipment up there and make them a path! LOL

LOL Trust me, if I thought we could get away with it and it would work, I'd mortgage the house to get the equipment up there! Trust me, it'd be worth it next year when it only costs $50 to fill up my pickup truck instead of $100! We'd be hero's!

Damn near hit one a few months ago in Overland Park ON I-35. LOL. I agree with you. But wait, if we just spend some more of that "free money" the country has so much of, and reduce the spending on that silly military thing, and give everyone who doesn't work some more of the money that the "rich" people have way too much of, then we will be out of debt in 12 years so the country will be able to afford $7 a gallon gas this summer, right? OK, sorry I had to rant a little, I just can't take much more of this Obama crap. Thank God for 2012.

Well, gotta say the ole' Ferguson did alright today. 'Bout bucked me off'n it a few times, smoothed a few things out and probably roughed up a few more things. But all and all, it did pretty good considering it's operator. It was a fun and fruitful day. Alot was accomplished. Especially the growth of our friendships!! Thanks to all that came to help and a special thanks to Clyde and Skylar for bringing the tractor and post hole auger. It made a strenuous job stress free!! Another member up for Member of the month!!!!
