So I'm thinking of doing a bigger build on my raptor, but I would like some opinions on this first. Hopefully mark or his son can chime in on this.
Im thinkin doin a...+2 head with a Webb 4 or HD5050 cam, a +3 Throttle Body, Bigger FI, keeping my weisco 11:1 piston (I wanna stay on pump gas), An FCI intake, a PC3 or 5. I really like my sparks exhaust, but if I start gettin into to much HP, im gonna go with some DMC or Barker duals ;D ;D.
Whats your guys take on this? Man when I write it all out..thats a SH!T load of $$..haha. Oh well I have had my eye on this setup for quite some time, tryin to get into the 65-70 HP range..

You could just put my Dodge Hemi engine in there, probably be cheaper! Lol, I'm scratching my head as EVERYTHING you just said flew right over it. Good luck on the build man. When you get started on it, take lots of pictures so we can see the progression!!

Yea, it can get a little confusing. It took me a lot of forum reading to figure out what kind of build I was looking to do. But I will for sure take some pics when I do this, I wouldnt expect any for awhile though...these parts are damn expensive. So unless this stuff starts fallin outta the sky, its gonna be a bit before I get this stuff. But I will be sure to update.
To be fair though, this is a very mild build compared to some of the hard core builders out there. But this build should prove to have a decent hp gain, while stayin reliable as well.

Yeah my motor started getting a little noiseier since the last trip to the dunes, which makes my decision of boreing and stroking that much easier. Plus (not to brag) My ole' lady just got a job with a local/worldwide motorcycle, atv gear closeout store, and can get me parts and kits at cost. Something like $1300 worth of parts for around $600. And I just learned the neighbors son is now a mechanic up at Robs cycle in Patonsburg, so cheap labor.

But I think Im goin to stay stock stroke/stock bore for now. Already have an 11:1 piston installed. I really want a +2 head, but damn, thats a grand right there not counting a 300 dollar cam to put in it..lol. Oh well, I will get there hopefully in the next month or so.
