It's been a long time, but I've got this itching to do some fishing this year. How are the state lakes in this area of NE Kansas? Anything to look for, good or bad? Boats- show us your boats! I'm looking around, but doubt I'll spend the money right now. But, I'm a guy, if something shows up that I "must have", then I'll figure something out. Hell, I don't have anywhere to put one, but that's what family and friends are for, right?

hey trike, if your thinking about buying a boat, stay away from anything with a "FORCE" engine... and stay away from "bayliner" too. lake test before you buy anything.
we have a boat, but dont do any fishing. we just cruise around, go to party cove, and do some tubing. we've been to lake Perry, Clinton, and lake Shawnee.. all beautiful lakes.

Thanks for the advice Mitch. I'm going to take a drive and check out the Shawnee State lake this weekend. I'm reading that bass, crappie, and walleye are moving around and I'm not going to wait for Jeff to have a fish fry.....
